Thugs attacked a security guard after stopping them from stealing bikes

Thugs tried to attack a security guard who foiled their attempts to steal a bicycle from a railway station.

Two men entered Solihull station at 10.45pm on Monday, June 17, and tried to steal a bicycle by cutting its lock with a pair of bolt cutters.

When challenged by the security guard they both verbally abused the guard before one tried to hit the victim with a belt.

Fortunately, no contact was made and the would-be robbers left when the guard phoned police.
